The subway yard at Erdberg was built in the course of the enlargement of the basic subway network by the U3 and U6 lines, with a view to future network extensions.

The following facilities were built:
Control center with interlocking system and rectifier station
Depot with automotive parking lot above
Escalator cleaning facility
Social facilities and workshop building
Facility for machinery and equipment
The buildings above are reinforced concrete structures, whereas most of the halls were built from precast reinforced concrete elements, other buildings were executed as precast concrete skeleton structures.
